I've experienced perfect tracking from exactly two pedals that might do what you're asking. One of them is so old I can't understand how it worked so well; maybe my memory is bad.
1. digitech red whammy, whatever its real model name/number. 2. zoom 505-II I still have that crappy little barely-editable zoom pedal. The thing was cheap, even brand new, and yet its harmonizer presets were absolutely perfect and transparent pitch tracking. It was years before I realized that this was such a great feature, I never thought about the tracking at all because it was that good. I cannot say if zoom's other pedals still work this well. -------------------- ::jafomatic

I'd second Rob's recommendation of the Eventide. I use the Eclipse and the Pitch Factor borrows from it and the H3000, both of which are arguably the industry standards for pro Harmonisers. Not cheap but probably the best quality you will get.

Digitech whammy seems like an interesting option. Maybe you can track on ebay some of discontinued (vintage) pedals like that boss you mentioned that you like...?

If you want top notch, you won't go wrong with Eventide. I wouldn't count too much on POG and EHX in general. They are good, but their pedals usually suffer from "child diseases"

It comes from me. I personally do not like EHX, although I do find the brand interesting. I've tried numerous EHX effects, had Stereo Memory Man, and currently use MicroQ-Tron, and Stereo Electric Misstress. Although they are good, I would say they sound too digital for my taste. I don't think other people would think the same tho.
