I'm always inspired by an Killer Drum track. There are so many great backing tracks on this site, is there any way to get
some of the drum tracks in a format that I can use in pro tools?? I'm horrible at creating my own and I find myself spend hours
playing with drum tracks, by the time I get something satifactory the the creative moment is gone. All the instructors here are not only guitar wizards but drum machine wizards also..

Or can someone point in the direction where I can get some tracks

Thanks

Greg

For my drum track needs I use EZdrummer VST. It comes with a library of midi drum tracks with you assign to the VST to be played. It sounds very nice and its easy to edit the grooves later on to suit the song I'm working on.

I would also advise that you use EZD for starters. It's a very cool drum VSTi plugin that is very easy to use, and you get a lot more flexibility than with audio samples. It pays out to work with it a bit.

I bought a Roland TD9 KX drumkit to lay down my own drumtracks biggrin.gif
But the best midi drums out there are SSD (Steven Slate Drums).

When you achieve EZ Drummer you can expand patterns with Groove Monkey. It has a lot of patterns in many different styles, and works with EZ Drummer without problems.
