Hello and welcome to GMC!

This is quite usual problem. The trick is to slow things down and watch your right hand while you are playing alternate picking and concentrate hard not to play twice the same stroke in a row. You shouldn't increase the tempo until you can comfortably alternate pick through the scale exercise.

Also you could go through this series of exercises for the right hand : https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/lessonser...ht-Hand-Basics/

Cheers,
Bogdan

Excellent - we're hungry and new flesh is always welcome!! biggrin.gif

I can't add much to what Bogdan said - be patient, don't push speed and you will definitely overcome this problem.

PS awesome you like A loner and Brutal Bump collab - thanks a lot!

Hehe I still don't feel comfortable with it... However I have recently done a cool tune with Ben (hopefully with a video coming soon) which has inspired me to do som more vocal stuff - so there will be more to come.

It's awesome to hear you liked my vocal work - I need to hear that kind of stuff to keep going smile.gif

Welcome! I'm Todd and I do our Saturday Video Chat lesson which I'd love to invite you to! It's every Sat @ 10pm GMT. I"m stoked to see a fellow Vintage Ibanez guy wink.gif I"ve got an old RG 560 which I just LOVE. They have recently reissued the RG series after years of requests from players. I love the new Ibanez models but the 550 560 have the best/fastest necks of any guitar I"ve every played.

Here is a link to all of our previous lesson notes in the forum from the Sat Video Chat.http://bit.ly/lessonnotes

Welcome!
Todd
