I belive that its important to show the audince you are having fun and love the music....
Maybe try and reherse some stage moves that you do in the show.... If you look at some great band they always got some stage moves in their arsenal -------------------- My Gear

Well it would be good to make a cool coreography in some songs, like where the beat is good. Some of the most common stuff include headbanging, moving the head left&right, simple steps, and jumping. You should all do the moves for a more better experience.

I would suggest being yourself..Bands practice their stage performance through experience..As time goes by you get more relaxed on stage and be able to be more expressive in your attitude when playing..I would suggest relaxing and getting into the groove by tapping your foot , getting into the the "playing pose" and not standing perfectly straight, headbanging...Really those little things will add to the performance..Be sure that you will get it to a higher level through gigging experience! One thing to keep in mind is that its very important to balance your performing act with actual playing..Moving around and doing crazy stunts can result in lower quality of playing performance.Either physically from the nature of moves or mentally (for example you get preoccupied with what you are doing that you forget what should be played)...So its best to find the sweet spot somewhere in the middle...IMO playing quality of a band is most important..So if you feel like you can only stand like statue to be able to play well - do so...

The good thing that I've notice with a lot of bands is that in some parts of the song a whole band starts headbanging together. This can really look effective, and not easy to do, so you can try that!

Entertainment in music business is important nowdays
but it also varies a lot from one artist to another. Take Britney per example, 100 of dancers, changing outfit every 2 mins etc. And now look at the Mark Knopfler's show, no talking, no jumping around, no jokes, just playing. I guess it depends of music and the way you bring it to the audience. Eitherways you should act naturally imo without too much talking, jumping or dancing is also great but if you feel right doing that, don't go against yourself and try to enjoy as much as you can, if you enjoy=audience will as well. -------------------- Youtube

Make eye contact with the Audience! Don't stand staring at your shoes!! Look around at the Audience and smile!!!!! Let them know that you are enjoying yourself as much as they should be enjoying the Music!!!!! Good luck!! Oh yeah this is very important..Try to always face the audience , never turn your back to them!!! -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net
