Good lord - that´s very interessting. Thanks for the info.
I really try to avoid the Apple/Mac/iThingy hype as long as possible - but THIS app sure looks something worth trying.

Looks nice, but I don't see myself with an electric guitar anywhere without some sort of amp.

+ I'm also trying to say as far away as possible from anything Mac (already got an iPod, can't afford to let go of any more of my spare-souls)

This clearly demonstrates the power mobile platforms will have in the (very near) future. We will be all carrying multifunctional little PCs that can do everything! From mobile PC straight to mixer - tube sound? of course! Just 5-10 more years smile.gif

This app is truly amazing and innovative! Its a really awesome idea... You could actually play with this on some smaller bar gigs going straight to PA system and sound great smile.gif

wow!

this can come in really handy for those who don't want to carry an amp or even a POD

really cool,

I think they are going to make mixing boards like this in the future if they haven't already.

I tweeted about this a bit back and think it's a great idea. God bless IK Multimedia smile.gif There are tons of great audio apps for iphone and now for ipad. More and more, music is going mobile and modular. Being able to take en emulation of your rig with you for practice and play is so handy it's sick.

Also, I think we are going to see musicians starting to actually use software products in their live set up. For example, with an audio interface and laptop, you could run revalver MKII, amplitude metal, whatever you like using APPLE LOGIC LIVE STAGE and have a live version of just about any emulation gear you can think up. All of which would fit in a laptop case.

I'm still drawn to big stacks of amps and heads. But software and hardware just keepings getting cooler.

Todd

When is this coming out? I was looking to get something like this.. instead of having to plugin everything. Just a simple setup and interestinly, I have an iPhone so won't have to buy another extra box. I was thinking of getting Pandora but this thing rocks as listening to preview.

We can stick the iPhone in the guitar and then connect directly to PA. Switching pedals by hand. smile.gif

This looks really commercial... the only utility of that app is to play electric guitar instead of acoustic when you stay by friends or at party and to plug it in a crappy hi-fi stereo.

I can't imagine myself playing or needing that Gilmourish sound when playing in the metro or the bus with all the surrounding noise.

Ah well, I am not an Apple fan boy at all. That's probably why. smile.gif

Software in PA would still sound noisy today, but in some time when proper specialized external audio cards appear, it will be normal thing to use laptop+software on stage smile.gif

EDIT: I take that back, not laptop, I meant mobile phone + software on stage biggrin.gif
