Guido Bungenstock20th March 2022Great video, Kris! ;-)
Kristofer Dahl16th March 2022Yes agreed this is one of my gotos. I also have some other ways of doing it that allows fordifferent types of licks, and I hope to cover them in coming lessons π
Monica Gheorghevici16th March 2022Awesome lesson and explanations!!! From what I see we both like the same approach for alternate picking. I always find it very comfortable to use downward pickslanting.

Alternate picking - is as big of a topic as Mr Yngwie Malmsteen's ego!
In fact - it would be a mistake to think of alternate picking as one single technique. There are so many different ways of alternate picking - it is more appropriate to describe it as and umbrella set of approaches to produce aggressive staccato on the guitar.
In this lesson I will dive into my favorite way of alternate picking: Using even note groupings ( = even amount of notes per string) and the downward pickslanting approach.
Gear used: Ibanez FRM100 > Kemper profiler (BM F-Man FAT) > Duet2 USB
