  • Hi GMC'ers! In this lesson we will work on your country lead techniques on a beginner-friendly level. This lesson contains some classic country and blues licks that are not that hard to play, but sound very cool and effective. Some of the licks emulate pedal steel or slide guitar using bends.

    The song is in E major key, using occasional parallel minor chord (C#m). Towards the end, solo translates to E blues, and the goal is to mix the E major to E minor blues seamlessly. This cross is evident in the bar 9.

    Although the solo itself is low paced, it can be tricky on those bends, vibratos and timing. Try to focus more on these areas and you will quickly master it.
