- | When i was getting serious about playing guitar, i was on the lookout for a nice (and affordable) multieffect device. I came across a lot of different brands and a price range from 50 Euros to 1000 and more. Then the local guitar shop owner showed me the Zoom G2 family. And for about 200 Euro (it's much cheaper by now, in fact there is a successor, the Zoom G2.1Nu) i got a versatile multi effect with usb recording options and a decent delay of under 5ms when switching between effect presets. It has a nice sounding clean channel, on top of different kinds of amp emulations (JC Clean, Acoustic Simulator, Black Panel, DLX Combo, Brit Combo, Tweed, Classic Stack, Metal, R-Fier, Dyna Amp) and on board delay and reverb effects. As usual with these kind of amps the effects are not as good as sepparate stomps would be, but do their job. It also has a nice EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble and Presence) and a Chromatic Tuner.

- | The GT-10 is the most recent multi-effects (MFX) floorboard unit from Boss. It's described as a modeller using Roland's COSM technology and essentially is meant to provide digital modelling of well known amps and stomp boxes. It's in competition with the POD X3 Live, Digitech RP1000 and TC Electronics Nova System. The GT-10 has one 1/4" input, MIDI IN/OUT, SPDIF Out, Headphone Out, USB, Left (Mono)/Right 1/4" out, Send/Receive Loop 1/4" in and out, external amp channel switch, external expression/control pedal line.

- | Presonus is an american company that manufactures mostly studio products in the semi-professional range, and are known for their Firestudio series of soundcards as well as good prizes vs. features on their products. StudioLive is a unique product since it has both a digital mixer and a 16-channel soundcard, making it extremely versatile in both handling and feature-wise. It has not really any competitors on the market, since You have to buy a separate mixer, audio-interface + soundcard for the digital mixers available. But a good guess is that the other manufacturers will follow this trend, since it really is built for musicians on the move, and enables You to record Your live-concerts as well as doing pre-productions in Your own home with the same equipment. After playing this guitar for a while I can comfortably say the following. Avoid this guitar like the plague!
