Introduction
Testament is an American trashmetalband founded in 1983 under the name of Legacy, by Eric Peterson and Derrick Ramirez. It has his influences in Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead and Venom. Testament had some top 50 albums in the UK, and with their most recent album, The Formation of Damnation they entered the top 20 in Germany. They were often compared with fellow American thrash pioneers Metallica.
