I keep forgeting about our Wiki section only till Fran gives a link on the forum, honestly even now I can't find the links on main page to get to the wiki section. Oh and from there I remembered the portal during that search smile.gif https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/wiki/index.php/Portal:GMC

Could we have a permanent link at the feature content section at the main page?

I feel there are depths of this website hard to find smile.gif

Good question smile.gif It was on the front page but I don't see it now either. It's a great resource and Fran does a great job keeping it up. I hope we do get a direct link back or shown where as I may just be overlooking it.

Adding /wiki at the end of the main site url does the trick.
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/wiki

All members are welcome to add/edit/create stuff in there, I particularly enjoy the Gear section and reviews, but there's a wealth of knowledge from our members hidden in there (Bands, theory, guitarists, GMC, etc). Browsing through the "Categories" link at the top right reveals many great articles.

Any chance of a permanent link on the first/main/home page of the site? Just to make it easy to find? It's such a great resource, seems like it should have a button! smile.gif

I'll second that, I remember giving up looking for that sucker a couple of times in the past.

The wiki is not featured anymore because it is no longer frequently updated - with only a few exceptions. The sections that are updated, are linked to from relevant places (for example the REC board links to the REC score board in the wiki).

If you would like to see the wiki in the spotlight again - get in contact with Fran and he will let you know how you can contribute!

It would be amazing to see more wiki contributions. cool.gif

I'll rotate the main page content a bit, I'm planning to change the featured article more often and add some reviews (Mainly from Todd, who shares lots of cool articles in our boards) to the Community section featured at the "Workshops" link of the main page.

As Kris states if we had more content added from our members it would be my pleasure to keep it all flowing through the main page and different sections.

As of now my main focus regarding our wiki is maintaining REC entries/personal pages/score board updated frequently. Getting some more gear reviews, youtube vids, etc. would be great to renew the different sections.

Whether the wiki is updated frequently or not , there is still a wealth of information there that may get looked at and updated more often if it were easier to find. Just my 2 cents, for whatever it's worth.

I just contributed a few things myself that are linked in posts above. As Fran mentioned I'm always trying to add content whether it's mine or a great post by a student. As AKRICH mentioned, it might encourage more participation if it were linked from the front page and easier to find. It's a great resource and seems a shame that it doesn't feature prominently in the main navigation at the top or even on the buttons on the left of the video on the main page. Just keeping it easy to find would seem a good way to encourage participation smile.gif I have fielded quite a few questions asking "where did our wiki go". sad.gif
