I didn't tried the Digitech, but it seems good for the money, you get interface with Cubase LE4 even.. On the other hand, POD seems like a more stable solution, although it is not in pedal form. Not really sure, I think you will be satisfied with Digitech too if you aren't too picky regarding your sound. Both of these devices are strictly for home practice/recording.

POD X3 is not a pedal, unless you plan on getting the X3 Live version, while RP90 & 355 are both pedals. That's important if you need to switch patches/effects in the middle of a song.
Both X3 & 355 can be used to record through USB. If don't need/care about recording then I'd recommend a BOSS ME-70. It's a lovely unit. I like it better than X3 to practice because it's so simple, but it doesn't record through USB. If you are going to record I don't know how good the 355 is, but X3 works great. Even if you get the X3 Bean (not pedal) you can get a pedal latern on which connects to it and allows you to change patches/effects etc. Or get the X3 Live if you prefer to have it all in a compact pedalboard.
