Why do I keep gravitating towards hybrid picking? It does not matter what the context is - it seems hybrid picking always works!
Here are 5 hybrid licks that I keep returning to. I hope they can be as useful to you, as they are to me!
They are all based around this pentatonic box:
The practice drums beats included have a swing feel to them - and I often find this rhythm is essential to getting 'in the mood' :)
