Hi GMC'ers! This lesson is about the famous song "Tornado of Souls" from the album Rust in Peace. Daniel Realpe had covered the solo of this song (check it out here), so I thought that it would be a great idea to include the rhythm guitar in this lesson.
Megadeth is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1983. Founded by guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine and bassist Dave Ellefson. As a pioneer of the American thrash metal movement, Megadeth rose to international fame in the 1980s and was ranked as one of the "Big Four of Thrash", along with Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax, who were responsible for creating, developing and popularizing the thrash metal sub-genre.
The general key of the song is B minor, that means two sharp notes: C# & F#.
PS: Don't forget to watch part one which describes the structure of the song. It also clarifies which parts I have included and which aren't.
Techniques:
* Legato
* Palm Muting
* Down strokes
* Alternate picking
* Natural harmonics
Cheers!/ Ramiro
