Go for it mate, and see our discussion above. Basically if you have a high gain sound that somewhat cleans with the volume knob, you should be in the ballpark!

Ok and how about the distorted channel? I would try there and see if you can get a clean signal by rolling of the volume on your guitar, that's how I did it in this lesson. - Adam17th October 2018

How do you get your distortion? I get it by turning up my guitar volume knob!
With this little tune I will give a taste of how you could work with your guitar volume knob!
To achieve additional 'heaviness' I used Drop D tuning - DADGBE. This means you use standard tuning, but tune the lowest E string to the D note instead.
The tonality is D minor with emphasis on the b6 note (Bb). It also has occasional references to D harmonic minor.
