Marty Friedman, formed in the 1982 the band Hawaii a Heavy Metal/ Speed Metal band. Alltrough Hawaii was one most notable bands from Honolulu, they only lasted 3 years.
One year after Hawaii break up, Friedman join forces with his friend Jason Becker,creating one of the most talented and influencial shredding duet,'Cacophony'
Their first album, the predominatly intrusmental Speed Metal Symphony was a sucess unlike their second album Get Off!! that was a commercial failure. At 1989 Cacophony broke up with Jason joining David lee Roth and Marty ending up in Megadeth
