Born : 23rd October 1949 Cheltenham, UK
His nickname "Wurzel" is from his army days, where he was named after the childrens TV character "Wurzel Gummidge" because of his scarecrow style hair.
He is best know for being a guitarist with the famous british Heavy Metal group Motorhead, before joining the group in 1984 Wurzel was relativly unknown and was invited to audition for Motorhead where he and guitarist Phil Campbell played so well together and impressed Lemmy (Lemmy Kilminster) so much that he decided to make Motorhead a four piece.
Wurzel spent 11 years with the band and eventually left in 1995
He is still involved with music to date as a guitarist but now involved with "ambient music".
