Hi and welcome to my new lesson. This time we have a beginner solo in the style of Mark Tremonti.
Mark Thomas Tremonti (born April 18, 1974) is an American musician and singer-songwriter, best known as the guitarist of the post-grunge band Creed and lead guitarist of the alternative metal band Alter Bridge. He formed his own band, Tremonti, in 2012 - Wikipedia
Mark's style of playing is very melodic, incorporating advanced technical licks involving legato, alternate picking and arpeggios, alongside strong, memorable melodies. He also often uses a wah pedal which lends some of his fast pentatonic licks a quality similar to Zakk Wylde.
In this lesson we've slowed everything down to concentrate on:
Basic use of melody
Playing repeating triad arpeggios.
So, if you're a fan of Tremonti's guitar playing, then this lesson is a must!
