  • Hi everybody, time has come for a real Metal lesson! The first of a couple of lessons in the style of the well-known band MANOWAR. These guys have invented what I call Epic Metal, one of the first talking about kings, swords, axes and hammers in their lyrics. More than one remembers and honors their albums.

This lesson was requested by ranttt, andrew6, audiopaal, Marek (obviously :P), and even our Gabriel :D many thanks guys.

So, this lesson is about rhythm and solo, and it´s focused exclusively for beginners. About rhythm: We´ll be working on gallop technique mostly, but be sure to use more than one string. that´s the trick to get this heavy and deep sound.

Soloing: this is a quite simple solo. Slow melody, nothing too difficult. It should be useful for many players that still haven't learned any solo.

Well, hope to see your takes in the REC Program!

Take the lesson step by step and ask me if you need any help.

    Used scales: E minor
    Meter: 4/4 –
    Guitar Tune: Down 1/2 step
    TEMPO: 90 bpm

As some of you know, I use a POD xt to rec all my lessons. You'll find my presets on my board ;)

If you have any problems let me know. Take care and see you all around.
