Marcus Siepen: Marcus Siepen (born September 8, 1968 in Krefeld, Germany) is one of two guitarists in the Power metal band Blind Guardian. For the biggest percentage of Blind Guardian's songs, particularly in more recent years, he has almost strictly played rhythm guitar. He almost exclusively plays Gibson Les Pauls. On occasion, he plays a custom ESP Eclipse. He is one of the biggest MESA/Boogie Fans and plays a Triple Rectifier for nearly 15 years now. He also teaches guitar at GMC.
Megadeth - Rust In Peace Review: Directly drawn from our Albums Board, GMC invites you to check a Megadeth album review this week . Remember that you can add your own reviews of your favourite albums in our wiki! (And we are eager to read them!)
Megadeth: Megadeth is a succesful American Thrash-Metal band which have had their best times in the 80's and 90's. Megadeth counts to the most influencial bands in heavy metal music and is one of the four inventors of Thrash Metal, along with Slayer, Metallica and Anthrax . The only original bandmember left is bandleader and founder Dave Mustaine.
Blackstar HT-5 Review: A review by Marc Maiden. "This is the loudest 5 watts I have ever heard. We could go into mathematics and explain logarithms and how volume is measured, but let’s just say that from volume 1, I can get a nice soft bedroom level of playing, but I can start playing with a drummer (low practice volume) at 5, and at 10 I can rock the house! You can't crank it without making your ears bleed but trust me! These 5 watts are loud! Do not be fooled!" read more
Duane Allman: Duane Allman was an American slide guitarist. He is ranked 2nd in the list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time, in the Rolling Stone magazine. This is right after Jimi Hendrix. Duane was such an amazing musician due to his great slide guitar and improvisation skills. He got one of the best tones there ever was.
Boss DS-1 Review: I've long owned an Ibanez TubeScreamer, and my amp does have a dirty channel, but I was never able to get that crunchy sound. not untill i bought this little pedal. It's the most basic little distortion pedal. Only has 3 dials for Tone, Level, and Distortion. Very simplistic. Amazing tones. Can get some warm slightly distorted stuff as well as some thick and heavy crunch. Durable. low price.
New SI Lessons: Our students can also be excellent teachers, this month we've got two brand new Student Instructor Lessons: Gitarrero brings a powerful track in the style of Rammstein, and Quadrium shares a theory lesson Guitar Scale Theory with us
