Viking metal: Viking metal found its origins in the Swedish band Bathory. The lyrics and the sound described the epic Viking mythology, the Viking history and the cruel wars. Many bands followed the style of this new genre. The sound of a Viking metalband is characterized by the galloping guitars, the quick drums and the typical Nordic folk instruments (fiddle, accordeon, flute, horn, etc.)
Cacophony: Cacophony was an american heavy metal band formed around 1986 by Marty Friedman and Jason Becker. The band is known for their insane shred duet, mixing neo-classical metal with speed metal elements. In 1987, one year after the band was formed, Speed Metal Symphony was released. Fusing styles such as classic with hard rock and mixing the exotic sound of Friedman and the technical power of Becker, the album was a sucess for the lovers of the genre.
Roland VG-99: A review by Staffay. Roland VG-99 is a high end modelling device. Roland has put all their effort, experience & knowledge from their technology, resources etc. in one state-of-the-art box, that is supposed to be the flagship of the corporation in guitar technology. It models different guitar/amps/other stringed instruments through the technology of HEX-pickup systems, which is the same as guitar-synth technology.

Boss PS-6: A review by GMCer MonkeyDAthos. "I must say I was waiting for some plastic kind of sound, but it really impressed me. I use the super bend and it is wild. You might say that a harmonist never replaces a true guitarist, but my friend this little boy provides a realistic sound, it felt like I was gigging with another player"
Building A Usa Strat On A Budget: GMCer Mudbone shares his guitar building journey with tons of pics and detailed intructions on each of the steps he took to replace all the hardware of his USA Peavey Predator. "Brand new it was sold for less than $300, and on first inspection it was quite obvious where Peavey cut corners to bring down the price: terrible tuners, cheap tremolo made from pot metal, and mediocre pickups."
