R3fx Dual Resistafier Review: The R3FX Dual Resistafier is a hi-gain distortion pedal designed to have a similar tone to a Dual Rectifier. It has all the ingredients a good distortion pedal should have: Clarity, punch, low noise and versatility. This is the 2 channel version, with separate gain controls and a channel switcher. You can also order a one-channel version, but the 2 channel one gives you a lot more versatility.

Pantera Style

Pantera: Pantera were an American Metal band founded in 1981 by the brothers Vinnie Paul Abbott and Darrel Lance Abbott in Fort Worth, Texas. With Vinnie on the drums , his brother Dimebag Darell on guitar, bassist Rex Brown and their Singer Phil Anselmo, Pantera reinvented Heavy Metal and shaped the face of todays Extreme Metal. The Band split up in 2003.

I the first section we have dominant voicings use in the main video funky vamp. So in the first three slow videos we will be going through 4 main inversions of dominant voicings on the fretboard. We all know that dominant voicings are deriverd from E mixolydian scale. E mixolydian scale is just like a regular major scale except it has a flatted 7th note. This note come in the dominant chord and gives it its characteristic suspense character.

These 4 main inversions all have different top notes – root, third, fifth or seventh. We go through 4 inversion on 4 adjacent treble strings, 4 adjacent middle strings and 4 adjacent bass strings. These inversion are all the dominant voicings that you'll be needing in order to make some great funk riffs or vamps. --Ivan
