Those are nothing but pinched harmonics,
I believe Pavel has a lesson about it,
you might check it out as well.
What a smashing tune you have there Muris!
Definatly going to begin practicing this right away!

Cheers guys,thanks!
Cool Licks
cool, it's got a great beat to it.
Why aren't you famous?...or are you? haha
you are INSANE!! WOW
Many thanks!
Dunno what famous means today Kyle
but making music makes me happy
which is a lot more important than being famous, hope we agree on that.
Wow, your awesome!
Just AWESOME! Fantastic lesson!!!
so thats interesting when its said that you dont use pinched harmonics when using the neck pick up, i just thought i wasnt getting my squeels cause i was doing something wrong and dumb haha, but am i right in what i heard? you cant get pinched harmonics when using the neck pick ups?
hey muris!!!!!!!!!
cool lesson
thanks
Thanks everybody!
Khaos Keith, you can try with neck pickup as well, might work.
But it's a lot more easier with bridge pickup, has more attack and highs in sound.
I have single in neck but if you have a humbucker it might be easier a bit,try it.
This is some Serious [poo]
to me it sounds a bit like some Heavy-country music (which is nice;))
Edited for language - Andrew
Muris!!! Promise you will still be an instructor at GuiatMasterClass after u bcome a rockstar!!!!!
Good God this is insanely awesome, however a bit beyond my level right now =(.
Dude, that was mad. :0
That IS good one,Heavy + Country = Rock
Dammit Muris this is totally awesome! It's a little bit over my level at the moment, but I'm going to learn it before I die! =P
awsome man, 100% rock attitude
Amazing!
Glad you like it!
great lesson muris ...very welldone
Thanks bro,appreciate it!
Excellent Muris, lots of great licks and your alternate picking is just...crazy!
Got a question though
on video 6 you say that since it's a C chord, we have to use G dorian (i think it's because the 6M of G dorian is an E, and we can find an E in the C chord)
well my question is will it sound bad if you don't play it with a G dorian ?
I'm really impressionated by your way of thinking, like for the tapping lick, with the Dm pentatonic on left hand and Gm on right, how do you do that, when you choose a chord progression, do you think of the scales that you're going to use before...
i know my question is complex, i don't know how to formule it so that it make sense. i just want to know how do you proceed when you compose, do you do first your chord progression and than change some chords to fit in an idea that you have ..
by the way muris, i agree with the fact that you should be famous, but glad to see that what matters is that music makes you happy
Thanks Ivan.
Zizi Top,you can play everything from Gm scale over C chord but just don't
play 6th degree or Eb note, btw that's the only note difference between minor scale and Dorian mode,
the 6th degree.
I can't explain my way of composing that good,
everything comes together I think,
progression, lead melody etc,it's all well connected.
Scale dictates progression, progression dictates scale, closed circle I would say.
thanks muris ..
and can't wait your next lesson, cz i think that all of your lesson really rocks
You're welcome,glad if I can help.
wow...I am bolwend a way by this lesson....great job Muris

udo
Perfect! Excellent lesson Muris!!
After looking at the GP5 file I had to come back to the video to see if you really could pull off that stretch in bar 6 or if it was a typo.
I'm impressed.
These licks are extremelly useful, thanks so much!
Cheers guys,glad you like it!
Thanks for this lesson Muris! It has many awesome licks that should be learnt!

Wow Muris, I'm speechless, I hope someday, many years from now, I can play like that!!
Or this one: if you wanna work you'll have to play.
Good? Nope
Muris, you just got yourself a new admirer. I cant begin to explain how awesome this is.. Please please please keep up the good work, you're a huge inspiration to mediocre guitarists like me
Welcome to the site and big thanks for your kind words,

.
.
.
Thanks all I can say
Wow, just waw. You gave me something to work on for a month.
I checked the tab and there is a strong support of pull offs to open strings. Would it be too much of a work to provide a backing track downtuned to Eb?
I'll try, think I still have project folder of this lesson on HD.
I love the melody! A LOT!
Btw, talking about pinch harmonics, maybe they're easier with neck bridge, but if you got a nice technique, you should be able to get them with any pickup, right?
I got EMG's and pinch harmonics are quite easy to get, but I base my theory on when I get pinch harmonics out of an acoustic... I can barely hear them, but they sure come out of the guitar... What do you think, Muris? =)
They are easier with bridge pickup but yeah,
with proper technique you should be able to play them on any pickup, more or less.
Thanks tho!!
At the end it looks like you raised your hand in triumph. Like "Nailed it!".
Yeah,sort of.
I discovered that my sound card can change the pitch while playing the backing track. Starting to practice this today...
That's great.
Another Great lesson Muris...practicing this now.
Awesome, let me know how it is going!
Wow, so when do we get the "Muris" CD so we can say we knew him when he was a guitar instructor at GMC? But I'd lose my mentor...
