After the suicide of Kurt Cobain in and the splitting-up of Nirvana in 1995, David Grohl decided to come up with a new band. The most famous and influential band there has ever been. The Fab Four changed the face not just of popular music and how it is recorded but also were a great influence in the changing of popular culture in the 60’s.
The Beatles were a band formed in the late 1950's that started out playing rock and roll classics but evolved into the most popular pop/rock group of all time. Their recordings have become classics and they have influenced generations of musicians that have followed. The story of the Beatles is long and complicated but very interesting. More...

The Sex Pistols

Certainly one of the most controversial bands there has ever been and also probably one of the most influential. They burst onto the music scene in 1975 in London and completely changed the face of music in Britain. Their loud, aggressive, and anti-establishment stance inspired a whole host of new bands and established punk as a new rock music genre and culture in Britain. Bands such as The Ramones and Patti Smith with a similar anti establishment ethos, (particularly with regard to the established music scene) brought punk to America. The Pistols phenomena was short lived, controversy followed them everywhere much of it created deliberately by thier manager Malcolm McLaren. More...

Tersivel - Far Away In The Distant Skies

Once again, The Uncreator has written an album review! This time it's about Tersivel album: Far Away In The Distant Skies.
I was sent a generous offer by our very own Lian Gerbino, to do a review of Tersivel's EP, "Far Away In The Distant Skies". From the second the first song played, I knew this was not the average Folk Metal album. The sound is very precise, and well produced, while still retaining the big atmospheric feel of traditional a Folk Metal sound. The drums are bombastic, the vocals are fierce, and the low end monstrously powerful. More...1

Nevermore: The Obsidian Conspiracy Review

In this nice short review The Uncreator rises the lit of a new Nevermore album: The Obsidian Conspiracy.
5 years after "This Godless Endeavor" - One of the most perfect albums of all time - Nevermore release "The Obsidian Conspiracy", And does it deliver? Absolutely. After the 5 year break and a solo album, Loomis comes back with complete and total force. The color and tone of his guitars is very reminiscent of "Dead Heart In A Dead World", But with a much more precise production. The opening track, "The Termination Proclamation" will knock you out of your shoes and burn your socks off. Its such a strong opening track, Precise and technical, with the brutal heavy gallops carrying the verse. The solo in "Your Poison Throne" is...More

The Who by Boson

Boson has already written quite some articles, and is heading for a price on the all new GMC competition. Major prices are to be won by the one who writes the most and the best articles, for instance a Vox Tonelab ST and a Pocket Pod. So here it is, The Who.
"The Greatest Rock n Roll Band In The World" so they claimed! A lot to live up to, but not many would argue that The Who well and truely lived up to their boast! For over 40 years they have made classic albums songs, but it is as a live band that they really shine. They have lived the rock star dream. More...

New Wiki: Sanctity by Opeth.db again!

In an increasingly lethargic music scene, Sactity's Road to Bloodshed is a shot of adrenaline and holds a very strong place in the pages of metal history. A huge compliment to such a new band.

Relatively a new band to the metal scene and not much news to report on yet but the band was formed in 1998 and with some extensive line-up changes. The have only release one album so far but their sound is very reminsiscent to old school thrash and progressive metal.
