Cool - welcome back Albert!
Again in GuitarMaterClass! Now even impossible I will have the required time for the guitar! Have started with this great rock guitar lead piece. Good Job!
Love this one
Cool love it.
I am currently working on this lesson....It is a must have to learn....Great!
Hey Andrew, thanks for the comment man - make sure you warm up before playing so you won't hurt yourself
Man....my fingers hurt ;p haha
I love it.
No, it doesn't
Hey mate - looks like this one never grows old, does it?
Amazing
Well, hello there Mr. DWR It has a lot of meat indeed so get practicing - I will be in charge with this lesson here, as Trond is not around here anymore
lol non technical?? Just made me laugh. I think for intermediate guitar players this maybe be pretty easy, but to the beginner trying to break into the intermediate realm, it has a lot of meat.
Hey mate I think your subscription probably expired or something of this kind. Please send a PM to Bogdan Radovic and he will tell you what to do
I really like this lesson but I can only see up to video two. What about the rest of the solo with tab?
This sounds awesome, also glad its not to difficult. Great work
I love your style. This is great, I'm gonna delve into it!
Hello there mate,
Here is the fingering Trond uses for this lesson. You can also find tab underneath the video, and guitar pro file where you can check out this same fingering.
Bellow you can see the fingering for the whole video 7. This is E minor scale. First ascend from E on the D string, and the start the legato horizontal run on high E string by following the notes marked on that string.
If you have any problems with this, let me know, and I'll try to help. Cheerio
Ivan
i have problem with last video.video number 7.
Hello azri. I will help you with this lesson. Could you please let me know what legato run are you referring to (by pointing out the slow video number)?
Thanks mate.
i have a problem with the one-string legato run.can you help me.your video is way to fast.i cant see your fingering properly.
Thanks so much for this. It has opened my mind up more on the fretboard! Thanks
Just now found out that the run before the hammerons and pulloffs is the Em scale. I just now took the time to learn it. As soon as i played it i remembered this lesson. the only difference is this is 2 octaves higher than what i was learning just now.
great lesson! a lot of important and must know stuff in here
boy! this is fun! great solo for me as a beginner. it's refreshing to play a song that's easier for me and that i can play along with a professional backing track to. All the other songs i tried to play on youtube were too hard. i'm glad for GMC!
cool! I've been wanting to learn this song for a long time. I'm the guy who sent you a message about finally getting to sign up - and the guy who bought a guitar just like yours. (thefireball100 on youtube)
I was having trouble first on the harmonic part, so I pretended that the strings were hot at that point and I can hit it a lot easier!
A super great lesson, Mr. Vold! Just awesome solo with incredible power. Not only that, it's also intelligent and interesting, not letting the listener to get bored.
One of the best the GMC has to offer.
great solo!! is it E melodic minor (descending) or pentatonic or something third?? I'm practicing theory as well but cannot see what scale it is
cincerely
yeah, really nice lession! i like it very much!
That was a nice touch where you use the metronome and captured the timing properly in slow motion. So many times a lesson will not have this kind of consistency, and that can make things difficult. Also, the last lesson I learned was level 9. I don't think the beginner's or whatever labels need be paid attention to. You can get a lot out of lessons such as this. And while they may be easy to learn, some of them have a high ceiling for how much you can keep improving you play on them if you reach for it.
Welcome to the club, Kristian ! Sandnes (Stavanger) here, like Trond ! Awesome lesson by the way, Trond !
Hi, I'm new to this site, and this is the first solo i try to play. I started soloing about 2 or 3 months ago, and havent really got a real hold of it. But I've played this over and over the last couple of days, and finally I got it. A couple of mishits here and there, but still. So thanks for letting me feel like a real axe-man. A couple of months now, and I should tell the guys in my band that we're adding solos now Btw, I'm norwegian too, but figured it would be better to write in english, so that other might read this way to long post
those ocatave runs are incredible and its teh first time i heard that technique
Excellent!!!
Test
Hi Trond and thanks for this huge inspiration to continue practising regarding the pain. Hehe, I'm a newbee to guitar playing, bought a Morgan ST271 s week ago. Hm...must say that as a female its (not as a , I am a female) but...oh, hard to get my fingers to reach....
But still...must here this track 50 times a day, still!
This lesson contains so many very typical licks, it's a great reasure for beginners. Adding to this the overall fantastic sound without using much technique. Excellent job, I have to thanks you, as a beginner
love your playing and your pieces!
but could you make an advanced version of this pls?
AMAZING!!! Sounds great with whatever delay and effects your using too.
Trond,
Dude, you are awesome. I am going to jump on this one, thanks. But using the correct pedal effects is critical, too. Would you tell me how to set up to imitate your sound?
Stratobacker
Trond, i love you!!! I had something in the music stuff, got to play something, i found this, and omg, it was so incredible, but still doable! Thanks too you i got a 6! (6 is best
)
Oh yeah!!!
Great, great!! Eres un crack (Yoy are a crack)
Thanks
WoW!
This is a perfect little solo to just show off to friends. Thanks a ton Trond
Gotta learn this one! Such great melody
Awsome!
great sound great lesson
Im getting down to this Altough i started playing yesterday, this shouldnt let me down, il go back to basic Chording tapping and so on, but i will learn this aswell!
Thanks Glad you like it!
Absolutly flawless song i love it!!!
very nice solo
Thanks
Great Lesson!
I'm definitely going to learn this one. I love the style you used. I'm finding myself looking forward to your next lesson more and more.
Hey Trond,
This is a great lesson. Love your tone and style and you make it look a lot easier than it is (For me, anyway)!
Thanks,
Joel
Very nice Trond!
Thanks Thats always nice to hear
You are quickly becoming one of my favorite instructors. Awesome work!!!!!
great lesson Trond, love it
Wonderfully composed... I love at :58 the low e string riff!
Thanks Glad you all like it!
4Play: I dont use any effects or sompressor in that video, but the active EMG pickups does help a bit with harmonics.
But you should be able to get similar sounds with passive pickups aswell.
The biggest trick is hitting the strings a bit harder and muting the unwanted strings good enough.
Absolutely fabulous lesson man, feels really great to play this! I have a question though: what to you do/use to get that sound from the harmonics in the second video? My harmonics at the fifth fret are so weak in comparison!
That would be feeling...uh...hummm
WOW!... I love the felling of more, simmering under the surface! I'm inspired!
Really cool song. That guitar is awesome.
good work man!!
Definitely officially one of my favorite teachers
Nice lesson.can't wait to try.
thx for helping out
Oops! Yea, i obviously made a little mistake in video 3. Sorry about that. It's the 14th fret on the G string.
As far as video 1 goes, you can offcourse change it around to what works better for you.
wait a minute..
the first video also has the 10 on the B ..can't you replace this also with a 14 on the G .. much easier playing??
or is there a special reason
in video number 3 you wrote a 10 in the tab on the B string
its a little confusing for beginners I think.. allthough its the same note it should be 14 on the G string ..I think that's how you play it too
haha check the members practising this lesson atm there are like milion of them ^^ nice solo, thanks Trond
hey trond, you know when you hit the 5 on the 4 strings and make it scream.
I cant make that sound, what should i do?
I love it, it's good work.
Beautiful solo, good job
This solo is very good Trond!! You are doing a great job here!

Nice and Melodic
This is great indeed! Absolutely one of my favorite lessons!
wauw trond this sounds just awesome.. i'll get on it right away
Great tone and feeling!
Nice lesson as usual Trond
This is so sick! It reminds me of something Steve Vai or Joe Satriani would do when they play a great melodic solo but don't go crazy with technical monstrostity. This is one for all levels to give a shot at! AMAZING JOB! MORE LESSONS LIKE THIS PLEASE!!!
Cool and melodic solo! I like it very much
Great, easy enough for beginners, but it sounds so good I think everyone will want to learn it!
